From SCP - Containment Breach Wiki
Jump to: navigation, search

This is a list of all of the versions of SCP - Containment Breach released so far, listed in chronological order. The downloads to most of these versions can be found on a now un-maintained archive or the official IndieDB page.

Indev Versions[edit | edit source]

Prior to the release of v0.1 of SCP - Containment Breach, Regalis had been releasing various screenshots and demonstration videos of the games showing off different aspects of it that he was working on. All of these videos contain many differences from the released versions of the game. Regalis has stated that he does not have any of these indev versions anymore.

Media Differences from Released Versions
  • Doors have a different opening sound, texture and model. The texture can still be found in the game's files under SCP - Containment Breach/GFX/map/door.jpg, as it is used for other props.
  • Buttons have a different model.
  • There's no hand icon for pressing a button or picking up an item.
  • SCP-106 has a different spawn sound.
  • There is a sound effect for when SCP-106 passes through matter.
  • The lockroom had no decontamination gas in it.
  • The CCTV monitors used a stretched out version of the original S-Nav texture.
  • SCP-173 has a different model and sound effects. The model can be found in the game's files under SCP - Containment Breach/GFX/npcs/173.b3d from v0.1-0.1.2. The stone dragging sound effect can be found under SCP - Containment Breach/SFX/StoneDrag2.ogg from v0.1-1.3.1.
  • The blink and sprint meters were actually dynamic instead of using a series of static sprites to represent them.
    • Both meters turn red when they are low.
  • All differences from the previous video still apply here.
  • The storeroom contains a refrigerator in the center of it.
  • D-9341 yells when he dies.
    • It was later repurposed for the scream that plays when D-9341 enters SCP-914 on the "Rough" or "Coarse" settings.
  • All differences from the previous videos still apply here.
  • This version didn't have any SCP signs on containment chambers and merely showed a white sign with the SCP's number on it.
  • Large containment doors had a different model, texture and sound effect.
  • SCP-895's observatory room had a different computer monitor, most notably it included a mouse.
  • A different sound effect plays while the player is looking at SCP-895's camera feed.
  • All differences from the previous videos apply here, except for the door opening sound effect which use the same sound found in v0.1.
  • The decontamination gas doesn't cause the player's blink meter to deplete faster (although D-9341 still coughs and the blink icon is still outlined in red).
  • Getting killed while wearing a gas mask would cause blood to splatter on the visor. The texture for the blood can still be found in the game's files under SCP - Containment Breach/GFX/BloodOverlay.jpg from v0.1-0.2.
The blood overlay seen in the video.

Guard oldold.jpg

  • The guard model shown in this preview screenshot is identical to the one used in v0.1. However, the model appeared to use textures at some point during development while the initial release left it untextured.

Aa12.jpg

  • This screenshot shows a radio in the player's inventory, despite the radio only being added in v0.2.1.
    • The radio's assets can still be found in v0.1, albeit with a different appearance, meaning that it could've simply been un-finished during the initial release.
